26th April 2009 Windsurfing: Portland Wind Direction: South East Wind Stength: F4-5 Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Sunny! Max Speed: 25 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 69 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Arrived around 9.45 to bag the last parking space at the front of the beach which pleased my wife. The wind was as forecasted around force 4-5 from the south east. I rigged my 7.5 with plenty of down hall as I knew the wind would pick up the further past Portland bill I sailed. Had an great day sailing out to the harbour wall and back being fully powered up all day which was great. It was nice that the air temperature was bearable for once and also that the sun was out, even managed to get a suntan on my hands and face! Also great to see so many other people out enjoying the conditions. All in all had a great day. Looking forward to the HIHO at the end of June! Cant wait! |
